The So-Called War on Drugs
Source: TheNewAmerican.com
Federal authorities in the United States have been quietly supporting certain Mexican criminal empires, especially the Sinaloa drug cartel, in a bid to solidify the syndicates' reign as dominant powerbrokers in particular territories, according to leaked e-mails from a U.S.-based Mexican diplomat to the private intelligence firm Stratfor. If cartel chiefs cooperate with authorities, "governments will allow controlled drug trades," the diplomatic source wrote.

--Also troubling were Stratfor documents detailing "surgical strikes" by Mexican special-operations troops — backed by U.S. taxpayer money and the Obama administration — which analysts equated with "death squads." Essentially, then, Mexican troops have gone on a killing spree taking out certain troublesome "cells," multiple sources, including those working for Stratfor, suggested.

Another bombshell uncovered in the leaked e-mails indicated that the U.S. federal government had deliberately allowed cartel hit men to murder people inside the United States if they agreed to offer their services to Washington. "Regarding ICE [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement] screwing up informants: They [ICE] were handling big hit men from Juarez and letting them kill in the U.S.," the same federal law enforcement supervisor wrote in an e-mail.

Mandated Flu Vaccines: A Whole Lotta Nonsense
Source:DrDavidBrownstein.blogspot.com
--If this study wasn't enough to get your attention a new study found that "Children who get the flu vaccine are three times more at risk for hospitalization than children who do not get the flu vaccine." (American Thoracic Society 105th International Conference, May 15-20, 2009, San Diego, CA.).

According to the CDC, the elderly are a population at increased risk for acquiring the flu and developing complications of the flu. In nursing homes or for the elderly living in the community, researchers found the flu shot was ineffective for preventing the flu. (Chochrane Databse of Systemic Reviews. 3(2006).

In fact, the flu shot has never been shown to lower the rate of mortality from the flu in any population, including the elderly.
Clearly, there is NO reason to get the flu shot. It doesn't prevent the flu and has not been shown to prevent complications from the flu.

Herbicide Use In GMO Crops Has Actually Increased
Source: PreventDisease.com
The promise by Monsanto and producers of genetically modified crops was that farmers could use less chemicals and produce a greater yield. That's about as true as honesty in politics. A study published this week by Washington State University research professor Charles Benbrook finds that the use of herbicides in the production of three genetically modified herbicide-tolerant crops -- cotton, soybeans and corn -- has actually increased.

This counterintuitive finding is based on an exhaustive analysis of publicly available data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agriculture Statistics Service. Benbrook's analysis is the first peer-reviewed, published estimate of the impacts of genetically engineered (GE) herbicide-resistant (HT) crops on pesticide use.

It is confirming earlier US government data showing that in the US, GM crops have produced an overall increase, not decrease, in pesticide use compared to conventional crops. Not only that promises of greater yields are also unfounded.

GM crops have not increased the yield potential of any commercialised crops. In fact, studies show that the most widely grown GM crop, GM soya, has suffered reduced yields.

Ed Griffin on Quick Fixes, the Looming Great War and Loss of Elite Moral Authority
Source: TheDailyBell.com
Daily Bell: Let's jump right in. Are we seeing significant price inflation now?

G. Edward Griffin: It depends on how you define significant, I suppose. I think it's significant. My personal feeling is the price index is greatly distorted. They keep fiddling with the formula to make it look as good as possible but real inflation, at least here in the States, in terms of the major components of what people buy to live day to day, such as groceries, gasoline and clothing, my feeling is that inflation is already at the double digits. I think it's ten percent if not more. That I think is significant but then again it's nothing compared to what I think we are going to see.

It seems to me that probably within the next two years we will be experiencing 15, 20, 25, 30 percent and so forth. It may be much higher because I have a feeling there is a certain tipping point coming when people finally realize – and they always do – in any country where the currency is grinding down. There comes to be a point, like in Russia or in Germany, for example, when inflation was modest and then within a period of a few weeks inflation was way, way out of proportion. It was a psychological factor that made the difference. Nothing else changed except the awareness level that the money was no good. So I kind of think we are going to see similar psychological influence like that here and probably we will catch up with all the inflation that should have been in the market very quickly.

GMO Labeling - Stop The Fraud
Source: StopTheLie.com
--The biotech industry wants the benefits of collecting revenue on its GMO patents, but it also wants to enjoy the benefits of "trust" associated with natural products that have been consumed safely for many thousands of years. They know that consumers will avoid their product if it says "GMO" on it, so their policy is to hide that distinction from consumers.

The Oregon Fluoride Fight Heats Up
Source: Mercola.com
--The undemocratic process adopted by the council received nationwide media coverage, and for good reason. So far, citizens have already voted 'no' on water fluoridation for Portland on three separate occasions, clearly demonstrating the public will on this subject. This time, more than 275 residents testified at the public hearing, according to The New York Times, with more than 60 percent of them speaking out against the practice. The pro-fluoride lobby were unfairly given a full hour to present their case before the council, while those in opposition were given no time.

In the end, on September 12, the council stuck to their announced game plan and approved the plan to add fluoride to Portland's water supplies by March 2014, despite the strong opposition from residents, who asked for a referendum. Their message: "Public Water, Public Vote." According to The Huffington Post,2 the opposition will start collecting signatures in an effort to force a referendum.

"There is no question that we are going to need a lot of financial and volunteer support to make this happen, but we are seeing a major backlash to how the City Council has handled this," said Kim Kaminski, executive director of Oregon Citizens for Safe Drinking Water.3

While it can certainly be frustrating, there's no doubt we need to open the channels of communication on the issue of water fluoridation. The argument that water fluoridation has been done for over five decades and doesn't appear to have had a detrimental impact on health simply isn't not good enough... There's just too much evidence to the contrary. For example, 34 different studies4 support the contention that water fluoridation lowers IQ in children.

The Other Side of the "Citizens United" Argument
Source: DownsizeDC.org
--The Ruling Class calls them campaign finance laws. But they're really incumbent protection rules. These rules silence dissent and cripple challengers.

So let's do this . . .

*Never call them campaign finance laws.
*Always call them Incumbent Protection Rules.

--The Regime Media Cartel (imprecisely known as the mainstream media) gets to influence politics by . . .raising and spending unlimited dollars, from unlimited sources, with no public reporting requirements...So why can't you?

--Shouldn't you and your friends be able to join together to pool your resources to operate a "press" to express political opinions? Even if that "press" is called something likeDownsizeDC.org?

We think the answer is obvious and resounding. YES!

But the politicians and the Regime Media both disagree, because they want to silence you!

--They both want to monopolize political expression, because that will allow them to monopolize THOUGHT and POWER.
