Richard Lynn is a prominent psychologist whose research on human intelligence is often cited in articles like "Are we becoming more stupid?" Unfortunately, these articles rarely mention that Richard Lynn is also a hardcore eugenicist.
In his book "Eugenics: A Reassessment," Lynn argues that governments have the authority to sterilize their citizens if they consider those citizens "undesirable." He uses words like "retarded, psychopathic, and criminal" to describe the prime targets of compulsory sterilization, but his definition of these words would surprise most people. For instance, if you speed in your car, dislike paying taxes, or became a parent in your teens, you're probably a psychopath. (Pages 117 - 118) This might explain why, when the US government forcibly sterilized sixty thousand of its citizens, Lynn claimed that the US should have sterilized sixty million. (Page 42)
Men like Lynn worship political power and despise individual rights. They believe that an authoritarian global government, based on eugenics, is both inevitable and welcome. (They imagine that they will be among the elite in a eugenics-based society; they imagine that they have nothing to fear.) Since it's almost impossible to imagine their dangerous arrogance, I've transcribed most of my highlighted references from Lynn's book (about 50 pages worth) below. As you read, keep in mind that it was American eugenicists who advised and inspired Hitler.

COMMENT: I added quite a few comments to the excerpted text from Lynn's book (I couldn't help myself).
Since most people will not want to read the entire 50 pages, I figured I'd just post one of the comments here. It addresses the heart of what's wrong with Lynn's elitism:
"Some of the worst human beings the world has produced were / are highly intelligent. Some of the best human beings were / are of average intelligence. Fixed attributes like skin color or race provide no indication of a person's honesty or integrity. No measure of their talent or creativity. It reveals nothing about their courage, their work ethic, or what their time on this planet will ultimately yield for the good of humanity. Those who ignore this fact, in my opinion, do so because they wish to elevate themselves above others without actually having to expend any effort of their own. Their 'superiority' is their birthright."

On the occasion of his 79th birthday, I thought it appropriate to share how Dr. Ron Paul has impacted my life in a very personal manner. Ron Paul (and more importantly, the philosophy of liberty that he champions) has inspired me to make life-altering decisions, the most consequential of which is to leave the military as a conscientious objector. Throw in homeschooling, sound money, economics, and non-aggression, and you've got a completely new outlook on life. It has not been an easy path, but this is the price for discovering a worldview that is coherent, consistent, and compelling enough to act on.
It all started with the 2012 presidential debates, in which my husband took a large interest. We began to discuss between ourselves what Dr. Paul espoused — never before had I heard someone whose words were completely aligned with what I had experienced overseas. His discussions regarding interventionism and blowback were spot-on.
At that point, Hubby and I had more than six deployments between us, so we were credible listeners. Even more impressive: here was a guy who wasn't toeing the party line, wasn't kowtowing to pressure, and was actually speaking common sense! Look up any video of any presidential debate in which Dr. Paul takes part, and it's abundantly clear that he is no politician (this is a compliment in my book). It's safe to say that listening to his position on foreign policy was the first step down the rabbit hole; I didn't fully understand every issue that he spoke about, but his words came through like a clear bell. Who was this guy? Where did he come from? What did he know? I was hooked.

Well, as I've begun to expand my horizons when it comes to the intellectual arguments for a small, limited or no government, I came across this beautifully succinct quote from the economist and historian Robert Higgs:
"Anarchists did not try to carry out genocide against the Armenians in Turkey; they did not deliberately starve millions of Ukrainians; they did not create a system of death camps to kill Jews, gypsies, and Slavs in Europe; they did not fire-bomb scores of large German and Japanese cities and drop nuclear bombs on two of them; they did not carry out a Great Leap Forward that killed scores of millions of Chinese; they did not attempt to kill everybody with any appreciable education in Cambodia; they did not launch one aggressive war after another; they did not implement trade sanctions that killed perhaps 500,000 Iraqi children.
In debates between anarchists and statists, the burden of proof clearly should rest on those who place their trust in the state. Anarchy's mayhem is wholly conjectural; the state's mayhem is undeniably, factually horrendous."
