--Based on the information contained in Tragedy and Hope 101, I suppose it's understandable why I haven't paid much attention to this election cycle. That said, I had originally heard a few things about Trump that I found encouraging, and watching "the Establishment" attack him earned a few brownie points. I even thought: "What would happen if Trump chose Ron Paul as his running mate; wouldn't that be something?"
Considering what I've recently learned about Trump, it seems pretty unlikely that he'd ever consider a man like Ron Paul as VP. It's equally unlikely that Ron Paul would accept the offer. One thing is for sure: There is no way I would endorse (let alone vote for) Trump. I've seen too many of his type during my research over the years...they're unfit for power.

US Struggles to Convince Iraqis it Doesn't Support ISIS

--Despite spending more than $10 million on public outreach in Iraq last year, the U.S. government appears to have made little headway in dispelling such rumors.
An unscientific survey by the State Department of Iraqi residents last year found that 40 percent believe that U.S. policy is working to 'destabilize Iraq and control its natural resources,' and a third believe America 'supports terrorism in general and (IS) specifically.'
Skepticism about U.S. motives is deeply rooted in Iraq, where many still blame the chaos after the 2003 invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein on American malice rather than incompetence.

--Greenpeace secured and leaked the secret TTIP documents that Washington and global corporations are pushing on Europe. The official documents prove that my description of these "partnerships" when they first appeared in the news is totally correct.
These so-called "free trade agreements" are not trade agreements. The purpose of the "partnerships," which were drafted by global corporations, is to make corporations immune to the laws of sovereign countries in which they do business. Any country's sovereign law whether social, environmental, food safety, labor protections—any law or regulation—that impacts a corporation's profits is labeled a "restraint on trade." The "partnerships" permit corporations to file a suit that overturns the law or regulation and also awards the corporation damages paid by the taxpayers of the country that tried to protect its environment or the safety of its food and workers.
The law suit is not heard in the courts of the country or in any court. It is heard in a corporate tribunal in which corporations serve as judge, jury, and prosecutor.

--The "European Movement," which was and still is the "grassroots" organization that relentlessly pushed for the creation of a European super-state, was financed to the tune of $1 million a year by the "American Committee for a United Europe" (ACUE), which was founded by Allen Dulles, who was at that point chairing a committee tasked with looking at how to organize the nascent CIA, and William "Wild Bill" Donovan, who had been head of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), forerunner of the CIA.
-- Covert US financial support to the European federalist movement never amounted to "less than half" of the various groups' budgets. The money was funneled through the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, and other private conduits. The head of the Ford Foundation was Paul Hoffman, a former OSS official who played a major leadership role in the ACUE.
-- Globalism is the name of the game for our deracinated elites, and nationalism – of any kind, including the American variety – is the enemy. That's why we're seeing both the Obama administration and the ostensibly "Conservative" Party leadership of the British state undertake a combined assault against Euro-skepticism and the threat of "xenophobia." COMMENT: And of course the CIA was created by Allen Dulles during the CFR-directed "War and Peace Studies." ...and who created the CFR? That would be "the Network" (identified by Quigley), which set out to bring "all the habitable portions of the world under their control." It's all pretty simple when you know the history.
