Julia Davis, a former federal officer with the Department of Homeland Security, discovered and reported a breach of national security at the largest and busiest land border crossing in the U.S. on 4th of July, 2004.
When the DHS failed to act on her reports, she took her concerns to the FBI/JTTF. And like ALL tyrannical institutions, the DHS punished her severely for daring to challenge its authority.

�Audit the Fed� bill passes in the House with bipartisan support

--A bipartisan bill requiring broader operational audits of the U.S. Federal Reserve passed the House on Wednesday by a broad bipartisan margin.
The bill passed 327 to 98; all but one Republican and 89 Democrats voted yes. The bill will be considered under the suspension of normal House rules, meaning it required at least a two-thirds majority to pass.
The measure would permit government auditors to conduct deeper audits of the Fed�s monetary policy operations. Despite opposition from some Democrats and the Federal Reserve, the bill has at least 274 cosponsors, including more than three dozen Democrats facing difficult reelection campaigns.
Wednesday�s vote was a coup for its chief sponsor, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.), a longtime nemesis of the Fed, which he has called �an enormously destructive and unaccountable force in both the U.S. economy and the greater global economy.�

We need to END the Fed. If an audit will get the ball rolling, fine. But please don't let the discussion be turned into an issue of whether or not the Fed "needs more oversight" or "acted outside its legal authority" and needs to be "reigned in." Its very existence is a crime. The power of those who own and operate it should not be permitted to exist.

--The FISA Amendments Act (FAA) of 2008 gave the NSA broad powers to monitor international phone calls and emails, and granted legal immunity to telecommunication companies that had participated in the Bush administration�s wiretapping program prior to 2008. But former senior official Thomas Drake, former senior analyst Kirk Wiebe, and former technical director William Binney said the NSA was not only monitoring international communications � the agency had been spying on �the entire country.�

�Read the Bills� would force Congress to read every word of every bill they want to impose on you.
Even more challenging, bills would be read aloud, and at least half of them would have to sit through the reading.
And if they don�t, the legislation would be considered null and void in court.
This would dramatically reduce the number and size of bills Congress passes, because they won�t want to endure the fatigue of reading long bills. This would be a crucial reform, BUT . . .
If Congress won�t pass OSTA, WTLA, and RTBA, then that�s another sign that there�s no hope for this institution, and the time has come to alter or abolish our present form of government.
We�re about to enter a new phase. We�re going to start arguing against political government, and in favor of something that we call . . .

COMMENT: If I were a mass murderer, methodically choosing and firing at human targets, I would prefer to be the only "armed" individual. This would enable me to work without fear of injury or death.
If, on the other hand, one of my potential victims started firing back, I would be forced to change my approach. I would have to take cover. I would have to redirect my focus to where the shots were coming from. I would have to "take out" the armed individual before I could, without risk of consequences, resume my rampage. ...And if I was taking fire from multiple locations, that would only complicate my situation further.
I can think of absolutely NO scenario where I would prefer to have my victims firing back at me.

Justice Department Sues Telecom for Challenging National Security Letter

--After the telecom challenged its NSL last year, the Justice Department took its own extraordinary measure: It sued the company, arguing in court documents that the company was violating the law by challenging its authority.
That�s a pretty intense charge, according to Matt Zimmerman, an attorney for the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which is representing the anonymous telecom.
�It�s a huge deal to say you are in violation of federal law having to do with a national security investigation,� says Zimmerman. �That is extraordinarily aggressive from my standpoint. They�re saying you are violating the law by challenging our authority here.�
The government�s �Jabberwocky� argument � accusing the company of violating the law when it was actually complying with the law � appears in redacted court documents that were released on Wednesday by EFF with the government�s approval. Prior to their release, the organization provided them to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported on the case Tuesday night. The case is a significant challenge to the government and its efforts to obtain documents in a manner that the EFF says violates the First Amendment rights of free speech and association.
